Policy Rules Consequences
Academic Dishonesty
Copying the work of others for your credit is prohibited (homework included). Zero on assignment for all parties involved; Parent Conference

Second offense will be added to your academic record

Allowing someone to copy your work is prohibited (homework included). Drop one grade level; Principal’s Suspension (1-5 days)
Disrespecting Adults
Using foul language or implied foul language, being physically aggressive, threatening, raising your voice, obscene gestures, ignoring instruction, talking while others are talking, walking out of class, touching teachers, and touching teachers’ property IS PROHIBITED.

Eating/Drinking
Eating (gum included) and drinking is allowed only in the cafeteria.

Electronics
All electronic devices (i.e. cell phones, iPods, MP3s, Gameboy, etc.)must be turned off and left in your locker. 1st Offense – Returned at the end of the day
2nd Offense – Returned the next school day
  3rd Offense – Returned to the parent
  Additional Offenses – Returned at the end of the term (Jan/June)
If Student Refuses to hand over the device: Detention (1 hour)

Fighting/Physical
People are not for hitting or shoving. Keep your hands to yourself.

Language
Students will speak in a scholarly fashion. Cursing, racial slurs, negative comments based on gender/sexual orientation, religion, personal appearance, disabilities, socioeconomic status, and country of origin IS PROHIBITED.

Lateness
Students are given three minutes to travel to classes. All students must arrive on time to each class. Students arriving late must have a signed note from a faculty member explaining the reason for the lateness. After-school Detention

Harassment/Bullying
Students are to be respectful of the rights, property, opinions, feelings, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, intelligence, achievements and personal tastes and style of others. Written Apology: Parent Conference; After-School Detention

Harassment and bullying are defined as repeated inappropriate behavior, direct or indirect, whether verbal, physical, or otherwise, conducted by one or more persons against another or others, which could reasonably be regarded as undermining the individual’s rights to dignity at school. Uniform
Students will be in full uniform at all times while in the building. Call Home
Students are not allowed to store their uniform overnight in their locker and change in the morning. After-School Detention; Parent Conference
 
Vandalism/Theft
Students will not deface school property, walls, desks, chairs, displays, or improperly use any school equipment.
